Topic Title: Trauma Case Learning Objectives: Participants will (be able to): 1. Describe the recovery from brain/spine trauma (basic science considerations). 2. Review the surgical adjuncts for improving brain and spinal cord recover following injury. 3. Discuss the management guidelines for traumatic spine injuries (sources of articles). Bloom provides a place for group members to discuss issues unique to their experience at a predominantly white institution (PWI), including academic stress, relationships, race/ethnicity related stress, familial pressures and navigating cultural expectations.
