- Giffey To Play In Second Olympic Games for GermanyPARIS – Two-time national champion and UConn men's basketball alum Niels Giffey will participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics, recently named to the final roster for the Germany national team. It will be Giffey's second Olympic appearance, also competing for Germany in the 2020 Tokyo Games.
- UConn and Texas Announce Home-and-Home SeriesSTORRS – The UConn men's basketball team has announced a home-and-home series agreement with Texas, set to begin in the 2024-25 season. The Huskies will visit the Longhorns in Austin on Dec. 8, 2024 before the return game in Connecticut on Dec. 12, 2025.
- Hurley and the Huskies Agree to New ContractSTORRS – The University of Connecticut has agreed to a new contract with head men's basketball coach Dan Hurley that runs through the 2029-30 season. The six-year agreement is valued at $50 million and includes the opportunity to earn additional compensation in the form of performance-based incentives.
- Newton and Spencer Go In Second Round of NBA DraftNEW YORK – UConn men's basketball standouts Tristen Newton (El Paso, Texas) and Cam Spencer (Davidsonville, Md.) were both selected in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft on Thursday evening. Newton went to the Indiana Pacers with the 49th overall pick while Spencer was the 53rd overall selection, with his rights going to the Memphis Grizzlies in a proposed trade.
- Castle and Clingan Selected In 2024 NBA Draft LotteryBROOKLYN, N.Y. – For the first time since 2012 and fourth time ever, the UConn men's basketball team has a pair of lottery picks. Both Stephon Castle (Covington, Ga.) and Donovan Clingan (Bristol, Conn.) were selected in the first seven picks of the 2024 NBA Draft on Wednesday night at the Barclays Center. Castle went fourth overall to the San Antonio Spurs, while Clingan was selected seventh overall by the Portland Trail Blazers.

- Alex Karaban Withdraws From NBA Draft, Will ReturnSTORRS – UConn men's basketball standout Alex Karaban (Southborough, Mass.) will withdraw from the 2024 NBA Draft and return to Connecticut for his third season of action in 2024-25. The rising redshirt junior is a two-year starter and back-to-back national champion.
- UConn Signs Transfer Aidan MahaneySTORRS – The back-to-back national champion UConn men's basketball has announced the addition of transfer Aidan Mahaney for the 2024-25 season. Mahaney will join the Huskies after two years at Saint Mary's College and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
- UConn Inks Five-Star Liam McNeeley To NLISTORRS – The back-to-back national champion UConn men's basketball team has announced the signing of five-star Liam McNeeley to a National Letter of Intent. McNeeley will join the Huskies as a freshman for the 2024-25 campaign.
