- Christopher Fortin Selected in the First Round of CFL DraftSTORRS, Conn. - UConn offensive lineman Christopher Fortin (St-Rene, Quebec) was selected by the Calgary Stampeders with the eighth overall pick in the first round of the 2025 Canadian Football League (CFL) Draft on Wednesday night. Fortin becomes the third UConn offensive lineman this offseason to move on to the pros, joining Chase Lundt (Arlington, TX) who was a sixth round NFL draft pick by the Buffalo Bills and Valentin Senn (Volders, Austria) who signed as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals.

Gourdine will be attending the Kansas City Chiefs camp while Sheffield is set to attend the Tennessee Titans camp.

Heard will compete as one of 10 individuals in the Amherst Regional on May 12-14 at the Poplar Grove Golf Club.

- Varsity 4 Impresses at Holy Cross InvitationalWorcester, Mass. - The University of Connecticut women's rowing team saw success from its Varsity 4 group Saturday, winning it's event by six seconds over MIT, Boston College, and Holy Cross. The 2nd Varsity 8 and 3rd Varsity 8 both raced in the same six-boat race, finishing 5th and 6th behind MIT, Boston College A, Holy Cross, and Boston College B. The Varsity 8 finished 4th behind MIT, BC, and Holy Cross in their event.

UConn punches their ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2001.
