- All dayArchaeology Field School for Adults with the Office of State ArchaeologyMonday – Friday, July 21 – 25, 20259AM – 3PM dailySouth Glastonbury, CT The Connecticut State Museum of Natural History, the Office of State Archaeology (http://), and the Friends of the Office of State Archaeology, Inc. (https://www.fosa-ct.org/FOSA_home.html) are pleased to once again offer their weeklong Archaeology Field School for Adults. Participants will gain hands on experience contributing to an authentic and significant archaeological investigation, working with primary sources at a 17th-century colonial site in South Glastonbury, Connecticut. The field school will cover the basics of field methods, paperwork, mapping, data management, and artifact identification. This field school is open to adults 18 and older. - 9:00 AM7hUCann Cook Kids Camp - Session 1During the summer, UConn Dining holds two culinary day camps for children aged 10-13. Each camp is two days and runs from 9am-4pm. Camp 101 takes place on Monday and Tuesday and Camp 102 is on Thursday and Friday. A day at camp includes working one-on-one with our chefs and bakers to learn kitchen basics, food preparation, creating and eating tasty recipes, and a local field trip. Local field trips include UConn Dairy Bar/Creamery, UConn Bakery, or UConn Spring Valley Student Farm.
