Trask is an expressive mixed media artist who happens to work in our library.Jeff Ostergren infuses his paint with actual medications to tell stories about the intertwined histories of pharmaceuticals and color.

- 9:00 AM7hUCann Cook Kids Camp - Session 2During the summer, UConn Dining holds two culinary day camps for children aged 10-13. Each camp is two days and runs from 9am-4pm. Camp 101 takes place on Monday and Tuesday and Camp 102 is on Thursday and Friday. A day at camp includes working one-on-one with our chefs and bakers to learn kitchen basics, food preparation, creating and eating tasty recipes, and a local field trip. Local field trips include UConn Dairy Bar/Creamery, UConn Bakery, or UConn Spring Valley Student Farm. Bakery items may include freshly-baked pies, breads, bars, cake slices, and gluten-free/vegan offerings. Feel free to chat with the student farmers and learn more about some interesting varieties they grow, their farming practices, and what they love about Spring Valley Student Farm. The class will assist commissioners in developing essential plan reading skills, including the comprehension of scale, topography, hydrology, and stormwater. The session will utilise practical exercises involving real-world site plans, enabling participants to translate plan information into practical ground-level observations. Presented by:RenataBertotti, UConn CLEARNote: this is a repeat of July 16, 2025 training intended for those that prefer a different date/time slot.REGISTRATION DEADLINE: July 18, 2025 This training may be eligible for two (2) general commissioner hours as per CGS Sec. 8-4c.
