- Oct 185:00 PMAll Recovery MeetingsAll Recovery Meetings are available for UConn students. The meetings are a gathering for all who struggle with substance use and/or other mental and behavioral health disorders. An All Recovery meeting is 'non-denominational' meaning all pathways of recovery are embraced here. A universal recovery topic is chosen and then the group discusses it. It is not affiliated with any "Anonymous" program although you are likely to hear comments associated with 12 step fellowships. Meetings are facilitated by a student member of the URC supported by a Recovery Coach and held in person and online for students from all of UConn's campuses.

- Oct 188:00 PMThe Moors, by Jen SilvermanIt's 1840(-ish). Two spinster sisters, a maid (or is it two maids?) and a melancholy mastiff live out their lives on the bleak English moors, dreaming of love and power. The arrival of a fresh-faced governess (through the door) and a moor-hen (out of the sky) sets them on a strange, dangerous path. Part Brontë satire, part Gothic thriller, part feminist rock musical, The Moors is a wholly delicious anachronistic comedy about desperation, love, and our desire to be seen for who we truly are. Directed by Kristen Palmer. "Gorgeously dark, chillingly funny, and a real treat for any Brontë fans. — West End Best Friend

To join our walks, simply come to Elizabeth Park Pond House in West Hartford, CT at 9am on the third Saturday of the month. Here is our chapter website that includes the pertinent information and our email address: https://walkwithadoc.org/join-a-walk/locations/uconn/. - Oct 1910:00 AMEncounters: The Changing Landscape Of Policing- A Community Dialogue21st-century America is increasingly polarized over policing. From yard signs to public protests, from political rhetoric to legislative acts, tension over the role and status of police grips us daily. Why are we so divided over this issue? Are there new approaches that might find broader support? Join us for a dialogue on this most critically important subject in which we will explore the development of policing in our democracy and discuss the present-day landscape of law enforcement, community relations, individual rights, and possible ways forward from our current landscape. Facilitated, small-group conversations will be followed by a Q&A with guest scholars and activists. You are warmly and respectfully encouraged to come speak from your heart about this subject that lies at the shared heart of the "Land of the Free." This event is hosted by Democracy and Dialogues Initiative (https://humanrights.uconn.edu/areas-of-focus/democracy-dialogues/), The Social Work & Law Enforcement (SWLE), (https://swleproject.com/) and the CT Collaborative
