Join us for an interactive brainstorming session with UConn alums, spoken word poet Sahmra Sawyer and musician Tommy Weeks, as we explore the theme of belonging at UConn Stamford. Through an open discussion and art making, you'll have the chance to share words, phrases, and visuals that capture what it means to feel connected, included, and at home in our community. Your ideas will help shape an original spoken word and musical piece to be performed at Fall Convocation 2025! Come share your voice and help create something meaningful for the UConn Stamford community. No experience in writing, music, or art required—just bring your ideas and creativity! This program was made possible through the support of the City of Stamford Arts and Culture Grant.
