This three-day retreat hosted by the UConn Writing Center provides graduate and undergraduate honors students with an opportunity to discover or maintain their motivation, provide accountability, and generate a sense of support for their work. It is a non-instructional event, and designed to act as a space for focus, informal collaboration, and judgement-free feedback. Lunch and other refreshments will be provided. Participants can register for one, two, or all three days and come and go as they please.

Spend Wednesday, May 14, 2025, with colleagues as you learn from peers, engage in discussions, and keep the momentum going for many of our large-scale teaching, learning, and assessment initiatives. The jam-packed day will provide something for everyone. Are you looking to define learning objectives, measure student mastery of learning objectives within your academic program or the Common Curriculum? Are you looking to access and use undergraduate and graduate institutional data? Do you want to create efficiencies in data collection from courses and programs, maximize the use of Blackboard for assessment data collection? If you said "yes" to any of these, this is the event for you! These and many more topics related to teaching, learning, and assessment will be presented at this event. In addition to numerous professional development offerings, this event will provide opportunities for collaboration and team time. Participants will examine the mental health needs of athletes, the impact of race and gender in sports, and the crucial role of social work in supporting athletes, coaches, and officials. Topics include mental health awareness and resilience-building and relationships within athletics. The training will also look into race while preparing participants to foster positive societal change through the lens of sports and social work.
