Early Student Feedback Through the GIFT Process
Thursday, September 19, 2024 12:00–1:00 PM
- DescriptionAre you wondering what your students are saying about your class when you are not in the room? Instead of waiting for feedback in the form of the end of semester SET, using the Group-Instructional Feedback Technique (GIFT) allows you to adjust your teaching early in the semester for a better learning student experience. You can demonstrate to your students that you are listening, caring and open to constructive dialogue. During the session we will introduce the GIFT and invite a discussion on how to use the results. NOTE: GIFT visits are a service that CETL staff provides based on availability for formative feedback to support professional development and reflection. The visits are not intended for evaluative purposes. Departments interested to discuss their evaluation processes are encouraged to reach out to CETL.
