Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics Seminar

Monday, November 10, 2025 3:30–4:30 PM
  • Location
    Gant West Building
  • Description
Dr. Eugene Knyazev, Harvard UniversityEntanglement Assisted Non-local Optical Interferometry in a Quantum Network Non-local optical measurements at very low light levels—key to long-baseline telescope arrays—benefit from remote entanglement. In this talk, I will present a non-local phase-sensing implementation using entangled quantum memories based on silicon-vacancy centers in diamond nanocavities. Using event-ready remote entanglement, photon-mode erasure to remove which-path information, and non-local, non-destructive photon heralding we realize an entanglement-assisted differential phase measurement of weak light between two stations. We demonstrate the protocol with a 1.55-km fiber link network, building a pathway towards new quantum-enhanced imaging and interferometric applications.
