The Upward Bound/ConnCAP program is pleased to announce its upcoming Summer Orientation presentation, an essential event designed to introduce students and their families to the exciting opportunities and resources available through our summer and academic year programming. This orientation aims to provide comprehensive information about program objectives, activities, expectations, and support services, ensuring that participants are well-prepared and motivated to make the most of their experience. During the session, attendees will learn about the various components of the program, including academic tutoring, college readiness workshops, cultural enrichment activities, and summer enrichment programs. We will also discuss important logistical details, such as attendance requirements, program schedules, and how families can stay involved throughout the year. Additionally, the orientation will serve as a platform for students and families to ask questions, meet program staff, and connect with peers. Our goal is to foster a welcoming environment that encourages engagement, motivation, and a shared commitment to academic success and personal growth.

As is tradition, we have made reservations at a venue to celebrate the successful completion of another LEAP period. First year medical/dental students can celebrate the culmination of their first year at the wonderful Gastro Park! The West Hartford venue consists of indoor/outdoor seating with access to a diversity of food trucks and indoor restaurants. Attendees will be given a $20 to utilize at the venue as well!
