Pride and Politics: LGBTQ+ Representation in Local Government

    UConn Alumnus Corey Frate, who is a civil servant and LGBTQ political advocate, will talk about about queer and trans representation in local government. Corey serves as the Deputy Democratic Registrar for the Town of Darien. He also works as the Grants Coordinator for the Leonard Litz Foundation, which helps fund LGBTQ+ community centers and nonprofits in the Northeast. Corey volunteers with with his local committee for Darien Pride as well as Stamford Pride.  Come to The Space (Room 219) at 2pm on April 24th to meet Corey and learn about his work and LGBTQ+ politics in CT! This event is co-sponsored by the Political Science Department, Freethinkers & Secular-Humanist club, Democrats club, Politics club, Latino Politics club, and the Queer Collaborative.
