    About Jay:Jay Heit has created and produced film and television programming with top studios and production companies. He started his career as a researcher onFlashdance with Jerry Bruckheimer and continued working at Paramount onBeverly Hills Cop.His first prominent television role was producingRipley’s Believe It or Not for ABC followed by theArthur Frommer Almanacfor The Travel Channel and then was a Disney Theme Parks producer (MGM Studios and Epcot). As a Hollywood Pictures production executive, Jay oversawThe Marrying Man,Cool Runnings, and True Identity.He moved to Walt Disney Pictures as the Associate Producer ofHocus Pocus and returned to the executive ranks to oversee production on a slate of high-profile films such asOperation Dumbo Drop,The Santa Clause,Mighty Ducks III,101 Dalmatians,and Jungle to Jungle. Jay was brought on by Dreamworks to executive produce the early development ofShrek and then to 20th Century Fox to oversee the development ofBrokedown Palace. Finally, Jay has produced the greatest achievement of his film career,999: The Forgotten Girls. He is currently actively involved in the distribution of the film.Jay graduated from UConn in 1974 with a major in Anthropology and a minor in sociology. His mother, Britta Koper, is also a UConn alumna, class of 1945!
