For our first event this fall, we'll be hiking Talcott Mountain up to the Heublein Tower via the Yellow Trail on Saturday, October 11th (during peak foliage!). We'll start the hike in the morning at 9:30 am, explore the tower, then have an informal discussion on wilderness medicine topics while taking our lunch before heading back down the mountain. Dr. Moore will be joining us on our hike and will be available to take questions during our discussion session. Please come prepared with a question about WAM that you'd like to ask! The hike should take between 2 and 3 hours to complete, start to finish, including the time we take for activities at the peak. Please bring your own gear and lunches. This first meet is organized to be an informal introduction to the WAM club. If you don't feel too familiar with wilderness medicine yet, don't worry! This is an opportunity to meet folks with similar interests and get outside to enjoy a classic New England vista.
