Mega Mammal Day!

- DescriptionThe day will feature exhibits of skulls, taxidermy, and other Museum specimens, as well as scavenger hunts, crafts, and games for all ages! Whole specimens on display will include rare mammals from around the world and one of New England's largest moose. Discover how the diet of mammals is related to the kind of teeth they have and follow animal tracks to learn to identify different types of animal poop. Visitors will also learn about the extinct mammals that lived right here in Connecticut not that long ago and see portions of a preserved mastodon discovered in Farmington! Plus, our friends at the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry (http://) will be there with a mammal-inspired mask-making workshop AND folks can check out books (or get a library card) from the Mansfield (https://www.mansfieldpubliclibraryct.org/2525/Public-Library)Public (https://www.mansfieldpubliclibraryct.org/2525/Public-Library)Library (https://www.mansfieldpubliclibraryct.org/2525/Public-Library) on site.
