Description
Dr. Gina Garcia, professor in the School of Education at University of California, Berkeley, focuses on equity and justice in higher education, with a particular emphasis on how Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) develop and embody an organizational identity centered on serving minoritized populations. She examines how HSIs transform their structures and cultures to affirm the lived experiences of people of color and investigates the institutional processes and practices that enhance student outcomes and experiences within these settings. All faculty and staff welcome.
