UConn Football Announces Series with Delaware
STORRS, Conn. – The UConn football program has entered into an agreement to play two future games against the University of Delaware during the 2025 and 2027 seasons, announced on Thursday.
The Huskies will make the trip to Delaware on September 13, 2025 and then host the Blue Hens on November 27, 2027. UConn's scheduled game at Purdue on September 13, 2025 has been moved to the 2029 season.
UConn and Delaware haven't met on the gridiron since the 1998 season and the Blue Hens have won 20 of the 27 meetings in the series that dates back to 1951. Delaware announced this past fall their football program will transition to the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and have accepted an invitation to join Conference USA a full member, effective July 1, 2025.

Offensive lineman Christain Hayes (Bowie, Md.) was a third round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL Draft and linebacker Jackson Mitchell (Ridgefield, Conn.) and defensive end Eric Watts (Sumtner, S.C.) signed UDFA deals with the Carolina Panthers and Jets, respectively.
