- May 21All dayCollege Benefits Group New Hire Open EnrollmentMetropolitan Life Insurance Company (MetLife) and The Hartford Life Insurance Company have authorized College Benefits Group, LLC, to hold a special new UConn employee open enrollment April 1 through May 31, 2024, for guaranteed-issue MetLife Group Universal Life insurance and The Hartford disability insurance. If you are an employee who was hired at UConn anytime between January 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024, you are eligible to enroll in Group Universal Life insurance, up to three times your annual salary guaranteed issue, without any health questions or medical background checks. You will also have an opportunity to enroll in a Hartford disability insurance plan based on your state retirement plan, bargaining unit, and UConn title. Starting April 1, 2024, until May 31, 2024, you can enroll in the MetLife online portal for Group Universal Life insurance, and or, fill out an application for The Hartford disability plan. You can find both online applications at www.collegebenefitsgroup.com (http://www.collegebenefitsgroup.com/) only from April 1 to May 31, 2024.
