Speakers: Corey Dwyer, MD, Matthew Grosso, MD, Lauren Geaney, MD, Anthony Parrino, MD, Craig Rodner, MD & Joel Ferreira, MD Date: September 16, 2024 Time: 5:30pm-7:00pm Location: Live Virtual https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87248582594?pwd=d6gaxcL4hNpZdr3liKOoRisxtEXrvz.1 Target Audience: Faculty, Staff, and trainees at the UConn Health Center Title: • Corey Dwyer, MD: Observation Versus Debridement of Unstable Chondral Lesions During Partial Meniscectomy – Dr. Corey Dwyer • Matthew Grosso, MD: Outcomes are Better with a Medial-Stabilized vs a Posterior Stabilized Total Knee Implanted With Kinematic Alignment • Lauren Geaney, MD: Concomitant Unstable and Stable Gravity Stress Tests on Weight-Bearing Stable Weber B Ankle Fractures Treated Nonoperatively • Antony Parrino, MD, Craig Rodner, MD, Joel Ferreira, MD: Long-Term Outcomes of Nonsurgical Treatment of Thumb Carpometacarpal Osteoarthritis Learning Objectives: Participants will (be able to): 1. Assess the data presented in this study examine the effect of debridement (CL-Deb) versus observation (CLnoDeb) of unstable chondral lesions on knee pain 5 years after arthroscopic partial meniscectomy (APM) in patients enrolled in the Chondral Lesions And Meniscus Procedures (ChAMP) Trial. (Dr. Corey Dwyer) 2. Compare the clinical outcomes between the posterior-stabilized (PS) total knee device to a more congruent, cruciate-substituting, medial-stabilized device (MS). (Dr. Matthew Grosso) 3. Determine the influence of a concomitant unstable gravity stress test compared with a stable gravity stress test on outcomes after nonoperative treatment of weight-bearing stable fractures (Dr. Lauren Geaney) 4. Analyze and compare the data presented to assess the outcomes in patients treated non-operatively for thumb carpometacarpal osteoarthritis, and the impacts on the rate of conversion to surgery. (Dr. Anthony Parrino, Dr. Craig Rodner, Dr. Joel Ferreira)
