The Huskies Take Hartford
Celebrating a national championship with 60,000 of their closest friends
Less than a week after they accomplished the vanishingly rare feat of winning back-to-back NCAA national championships, the UConn men’s basketball team took to the streets of Hartford to celebrate their accomplishment. Hartford police estimated the crowd at roughly 60,000, around 15,000 more than attended last year’s victory celebration. It was the perfect way to cap off a historic season, and left no doubt that Connecticut’s love affair with the Huskies is stronger than ever. Here, from UConn Athletics photographers, are some highlights of the day.
