- Newton and Spencer Go In Second Round of NBA DraftNEW YORK – UConn men's basketball standouts Tristen Newton (El Paso, Texas) and Cam Spencer (Davidsonville, Md.) were both selected in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft on Thursday evening. Newton went to the Indiana Pacers with the 49th overall pick while Spencer was the 53rd overall selection, with his rights going to the Memphis Grizzlies in a proposed trade.
- Castle and Clingan Selected In 2024 NBA Draft LotteryBROOKLYN, N.Y. – For the first time since 2012 and fourth time ever, the UConn men's basketball team has a pair of lottery picks. Both Stephon Castle (Covington, Ga.) and Donovan Clingan (Bristol, Conn.) were selected in the first seven picks of the 2024 NBA Draft on Wednesday night at the Barclays Center. Castle went fourth overall to the San Antonio Spurs, while Clingan was selected seventh overall by the Portland Trail Blazers.
