No. 1 Seed Huskies Face No. 4 Seed Boston College in Hockey East Semifinals

STORRS, Conn. - The No. 1 seeded University of Connecticut women's ice hockey team faces off against No. 4 seeded Boston College in the Hockey East semifinals game at Toscano Family Ice Forum on Wednesday, March 6.  

Last time out, the Huskies took a 4-2 victory over Holy Cross at home in the quarterfinals game on Saturday, March 2. Senior forward Jada Habisch highlighted the day with two points including a goal and an assist. Junior goaltender Tia Chan kept out 13 shots on target allowing only two goals, making that her 18th game this season allowing two goals or less.  

Scouting Boston College 

Heading into the matchup, the Eagles are the No. 4 seed, finishing the regular season with a 15-13-7 overall record and a Hockey East record of 13-9-5. Last time out, BC won 2-1 against Providence on Friday, March 1 in the quarterfinals. Leading the way for the Eagles is Sammy Taber with a team-high point total of 31 points with 13 goals scored and 18 assists. 

UConn tied once and dropped two games in the three-game series this season. The Huskies are 25-47-11 all-time against the Eagles.
