Public Skating Returns to Toscano Family Ice Forum

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn Department of Athletics has announced that public skating will return to the Storrs campus this year at the newly opened Toscano Family Ice Forum.

Admission for the public skating sessions will cost $8, while skate rentals will cost $7. If any patrons wish to have their ice skates sharpened before attending the public skate, the service will be available for an additional $8 charge. Students wishing to rent skates will be able to for no charge on a first come first serve basis.

Public skating at the rink events are currently scheduled for Sunday, November. 26 from 4:20pm-8:20pm, Sunday, December 17 from 3:30pm-7:30pm, and Sunday, March 17 from 4:00-8:00pm. Additional open skating opportunities and dates for the public will be announced at a future time.

In addition to hosting public skating, Toscano Family Ice Forum will host student only skating nights. Admission for UConn students will be free with a valid UConn ID. Currently student-only sessions will take place Sundays on October 8 from 4:00–8:00pm, October 15 from 4:20–8:20pm, January 28 from 4:20–8:20pm, and February 25 from 4:10–8:10pm. There will be a charge for students who wish to purchase skate rentals or skate sharpening.
