Huskies Announce 2024 Volleyball Slate

STORRS, Conn. - Heading into their second season at their new on-campus home, the UConn Volleyball Center, head coach Ellen Herman-Kimball and the Huskies announced their 2024 schedule.

The Huskies will play 30 matches during the regular season, which is divided between 12 non-conference contests before their 18-game BIG EAST slate.

Prior to the start of the regular season, the Huskies will travel to Fairfield for an exhibition match on August 21. The Huskies will then open the regular season by hosting a tournament at the UConn Volleyball Center and will face the likes of LIU (Aug. 30), Youngstown State (Aug. 31), and Sacred Heart (Sept. 1).

The Huskies will then play in three more tournaments to wrap up their non-conference schedule. They will travel to Colgate (Sept. 6-8), host another tournament at the UConn Volleyball Center (Sept. 13-15) and finish the non-conference slate with a tournament at the University of New Hampshire (Sept. 19-21).

UConn will begin BIG EAST play by facing Marquette (Sept. 27) and reigning BIG EAST champion Creighton (Sept. 29) on the road. The Huskies then return to Storrs for three games as they welcome Georgetown (Oct. 4), Seton Hall (Oct. 5) and Providence (Oct.9).

Following a one game trip to Butler (Oct. 11), the Huskies will return home to welcome Villanova (Oct. 18) and BIG EAST Tournament runner-up St. John's (Oct. 19) to the UConn Volleyball Center.

The Huskies will be "road warriors" to close out the regular season, playing seven of their last 10 away from Storrs.  Huskies will face the likes of Xavier (Oct. 25), DePaul (Oct. 27), Providence (Oct. 30), Seton Hall (Nov. 8), Georgetown (Nov. 9), St. Johns (Nov. 22) and Villanova (Nov. 23) all on the road. While Butler (Nov. 2) DePaul (Nov. 15) and Xavier (Nov. 16) close out the home slate for the Huskies.

The BIG EAST Tournament will take place November 27-30.
