Four Huskies Selected to 2024 Senior Nexus Championship
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – USA Field Hockey announced the athletes that have been selected to compete in the 2024 Senior Nexus Championship, including four current and incoming Huskies. The Championship will be held at the Virginia Beach Regional Training Center in Virginia Beach, Va. From July 14th to the 16th.
The Huskies selected included returning players Madi Herb, Maia Dechiario, and Olivia McKenna, and incoming grad transfer, Lila Browne. Herb, a rising senior for the Huskies, started in all 18 games during the 2023 season and scored one goal. Dechiario, a rising junior, played in nine games in 2023 and notched one assist. McKenna, a rising sophomore, played in all 18 games and started in nine of those. Browne, a transfer from Dartmouth, started in 15 games for the Big Green, tallying five goals and four assists during the 2023 season.
A step along the Olympic Development Pathway program, the Senior NXC serves as a selection opportunity for the 2024-25 U.S. U-21 Women's National Team Selection Camps, Junior USWNT Selection Camps, U.S. Women's National Development Squad and U.S. Women's National Team.
