TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The UConn baseball team (35-25) lost its Tallahassee Super Regional opener, 24-4, at No. 8 Florida State in 95 degree heat at Mike Martin Field at Dick Howser.
Jake Studley recorded a three-hit game, Paul Tammaro and Luke Broadhurst added multi-hit efforts.
Tommy Turner, Hector Alejandro, and Sean Finn all made their NCAA Tournament debuts.
Tommy Ellisen recorded his first career at bat.
Drew Kron notched his first NCAA Tournament hit and RBI.
