Flynn and Rees Sign Pro Contracts in ECHL
STORRS, Conn. – Graduate Student defenseman Jake Flynn and Harrison Rees have signed professional contracts to play in the ECHL. Flynn has signed with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, the ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, while Rees signed with the Fort Wayne Komets, the affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers.
In his graduate season, Flynn played in 33 total games, blocking 40 shots, and scoring one goal with five assists. In his five-year career, Flynn played in 152 total games, scoring 10 goals, and dishing out 35 assists for 45 total points.
In his graduate season, Rees played in all 36 games for the Huskies, scoring three goals and dishing out four assists for seven total points. Additionally, Rees blocked 50 total shots this past season. For his career, Rees set a program record for most games played at 162, scoring 11 goals with 32 assists for 43 points.
