UConn's Dallahan and Sawka Named to PING All-Northeast Team

CARLSBAD, Calif. - UConn's Tommy Dallahan (Simsbury, Conn.) and Bradley Sawka (Ellington, Conn.) have been named to the 2024 NCAA Division I PING All-Northeast Region Team, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America. The GCAA names All-Region honorees across six regions of the country and from 83 schools in 2024.

The Husky duo were both honored with All-BIG EAST accolades as well this season with Sawka also being tabbed the conference's Freshman of the Year.

Dallahan, a senior for the Huskies this year, led the team playing in all 11 events to include 29 rounds of golf, posting 13 rounds at par or better while compiling a 72.4 stroke average.  He was UConn's top-finisher at four events, posting five top-20 finishes and three finishes in the top-10, his best coming at the Rutherford Invitational where he tied for second.

He shot a low round of 67 twice on the season, at the Palmas Del Mar and the Surf Club Invite, where he helped lead UConn to their third trophy of the season. He shot his low tourney total of the season, 205 (69-69-67) at the Palmas Del Mar to finish third in the field and earn the BIG EAST Player of the Week award.

In his first season in Storrs, Sawka was the top ranked freshman in the BIG EAST producing a 73.4 stroke average.  He shot a season-low 69 three times while playing in nine events. His stroke average was second on the team. Sawka also was second on the team with 11 rounds of par or better. His best finish was second at the Bridgestone Collegiate. Sawka also was an All-BIG EAST Second Team selection.
