Noel Ofori-Nyadu Invited to Denver Rookie Minicamp

STORRS, Conn. - UConn offensive lineman Noel Ofori-Nyadu (Arlington, Texas) has been invited to participate in the Denver Broncos rookie minicamp in May.  Ofori-Nyadu is the third Husky this week to earn a invite to a NFL rookie minicamp, joining linebacker Noah Plack (Bridgeville, Pa.) who got an invite to the San Francisco 49ers camp and wide receiver Geordan Porter (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) was invited to the New York Giants and New York Jets.

Ofori-Nyadu appeared in 35 games over four seasons at guard for the Huskies.  He started every game in 2023 and helped anchor a UConn offensive line that allowed just 12 sacks on the season (1.0 pg), ranking 9th in FBS among the nation's leaders. He was a starter at guard in 2022 and helped a unit that fueled a rushing attack that averaged 194.9 yards per game as the Huskies went over 200-yards plus rushing in six games. He also helped lead a unit that also ranked 30th nationally in sacks allowed, giving up 17 on the season, just 1.42 per game.

He is the second offensive lineman from last year's team to get an NFL opportunity this offseason as classmate Christain Hayes (Bowie, Md.) was a third round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL Draft.  In addition fellow Huskies, linebacker Jackson Mitchell (Ridgefield, Conn.) and defensive end Eric Watts (Sumtner, S.C.) signed UDFA deals with the Carolina Panthers and Jets, respectively.
