Accommodations for Guests with Disabilities

If you need to request disability accommodations, please reach out to the appropriate contact person for the ceremony you will be attending by Friday, April 29, 2022. E-mail addresses to request accommodations can be found on the May Commencement page (e-mail the respective ceremony coordinator).

Harry A. Gampel Pavilion–

  • Reserved area for wheelchair users on concourse level (all entrances to the Pavilion are accessible). This seating is available on a first come first served basis.
  • Modified restroom facilities.
  • A sign-language interpreter and reserved seating for people with hearing disabilities.
  • Handicapped parking is available in the South Garage.

Jorgensen Auditorium–

  • Handicapped seating is available on the main level of the Auditorium. Wheelchair accessible rest rooms are located in the Jorgensen Lower Lobby. Elevator service is available from the Jorgensen Main Lobby to the Lower Lobby only. There is no elevator service to seats in the mezzanine or lower and upper balconies.
  • A sign-language interpreter is available at all ceremonies in Jorgensen.
  • Assistive Listening System – Available free of charge from the Front Office.
  • Handicapped parking is available in the North Garage.

Student Union Theater–

  • Handicapped seating is available on the main floor of the SU Theater (all entrances to the Student Union are accessible). Modified restroom facilities.
  • A sign-language interpreter is available at all ceremonies in the SU Theater.
  • Handicapped parking is available in the North and South Parking Garages.

Accessible Van Service

Accessible Van Service will be available upon request on Sat. May 7, Sun. May 8, and Mon. May 9. Please make reservations in advance. To make a reservation, please call (860) 486-4991. This service is available to transport guests needing assistance from their parking lots to the ceremony venues.
