Huskies Set For Two Game Road Trip
STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's volleyball team hits the road for a two-game trip against Big East foes, Butler University and Xavier University. The Huskies will start their road trip Friday, November 10, to take on Butler, before taking on Xavier on Sunday November 12.
UConn and Butler have already faced off this season in Storrs, which resulted in a four-set victory for the Huskies. The win over Butler was UConn's first BIG EAST victory of the season. The Huskies and Bulldogs are set to begin at noon and can be streamed live on FLO Sports.
Leading the way for UConn on the offensive side of the ball this season is sophomore Emma Werkmeister who currently has 289 total kills. Not far behind is graduate student Cera Powell with 203 total kills and freshman Mya Ayro with 185. On the defensive side of the ball, the Huskies are led by graduate student Karly Berkland who has 343 total digs, and Taylor Pannell who has 63 blocks this season.
The matchup against Xavier will be the team's second meeting this season. Xavier came away victorious in their first meeting, sweeping the Huskies in Storrs on October 13. In the match, freshman Mya Ayro and junior Taylor Pannell led the way for the Huskies with eight kills apiece.

Following the two road games, the Huskies will return home to host the final two games of the regular season. The Huskies will host Georgetown on November 17 and wrap up the regular season against Villanova on November 18.
