Huskies Head to Texas for Arturo Barrios Invitational
STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's cross country team gets back to action on Friday, Oct. 13 at the Arturo Barrios Invitational in College Station, Texas, at the Watts Cross Country Course.
The Huskies will compete in the 6k race in a 42-team field. This marks the first year the Huskies will participate in the meet in its fifth year of competition.
Last time out, UConn finished fifth overall in the final team standings out of 16 finishing teams. Individually, junior Chloe Thomas led the Huskies with a seventh-place finish running a personal record time of 17:15.4 in the 5k race. Senior Jenna Zydanowicz wasn't too far behind as Zydanowicz squeezed into the top 10 with a 10th-place result running a time of 17:27.8.
