Women's Cross Country Wins Bruce Kirsh XC Cup Friday Afternoon
HOPKINTON, N.H.- UConn Women's cross country took care of business at the 12th annual Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup on Friday afternoon, securing the top spot in team finish for the 6K race.
Junior Calista Mayer (Tolland, CT) came away with the individual win at 21:58. The Huskies swept the top 3 spots, with junior Ally McCarthy (Sandy Hook, CT) and freshman Claire Paci (Greencastle, PA) finishing in 2ndand 3rd respectively, with times of 22:08 and 22:16. Junior Danielle Adams (East Hampton, CT) finished 7th at 22:41, and Jackie Izzo (Southington, CT) placed in the top 15, concluding the 6K race at 23:07.
