Huskies Set for Two-Game BIG EAST Home Stand
STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's volleyball team is set for a two-game home stand in BIG EAST action against Seton Hall and St. John's on Friday, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4.
UConn stands at 7-17 overall and 2-10 in BIG EAST play. Last time out, the Huskies fell to DePaul in four sets and Marquette in three sets on Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28. Leading the way for the Huskies all season ahs been the play from sophomore Emma Werkmeister as Werkmeister has collected 269 kills and 28 assists.
Scouting Seton Hall and St. Johns
Entering the matchups, the Seton Hall Pirates are 11-12 overall and 5-7 in BIG EAST play. The St. John's Red Storm are 18-6 overall and 10-2 in BIG EAST play. The Pirates have been led by Madeline Matteny with 237 kills this season and for the Red Storm, Erin Jones with 316 kills.
