Emma Werkmeister named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
STORRS, Conn.- UConn Volleyball Outside Hitter Emma Werkmeister was named to the BIG EAST Volleyball weekly award Honor Roll, after stringing together strong performances that lifted the Huskies to a 3-0 start their opening weekend tournament.
Werkmeister notched 45 kills over the three matches, highlighted by a 19 kill, 7 dig, and 4 ace performance in a win over Youngstown State on Aug. 31st. The junior from Victor, N.Y. had a BIG-EAST best 54 points, (4.91/set) that earned her Tournament MVP honors for the weekend.
Up Next:
The Huskies will look to build on their best start since 2016 when they travel to Hamilton, N.Y., where they'll play in the Ellis Rowland Memorial Tournament. UConn will matchup against host Colgate University, Stony Brook, and Buffalo throughout the weekend.
