Olivia Wright named BIG EAST Player of the Year
STORRS, Conn. – UConn women's tennis senior Olivia Wright has been named the BIG EAST Player of the Year and named to the BIG EAST First Team,  announced by the B Conference Thursday afternoon. Wright was a unanimous selection for Player of the Year and BIG EAST First Team.
As a senior, Wright dominated in the top spot for the Huskies. Olivia Wright helped the Huskies finish the season with a 16-5 overall record and a 9-1 record in conference action both program bests. Wright was dominant in singles finishing with a 14-5 record in the spring season. In doubles, despite losing her partner early in the season to injury, Wright did not miss a step as she finished the spring season with a 16-2 record in no.1 doubles.
Olivia Wright is the first player in program history to be named BIG EAST Player of the Year.
