PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania – The UConn women's tennis team kicked off the Cisse Leary Invitational with an impressive performance against Temple and St. Joe's on October 4th, showcasing their depth and talent across both doubles and singles matches.

In their first match of the day against Temple, UConn excelled in doubles play. The dynamic duo of Olivia Wright and Maria Constantinou led the way with a solid 8-5 victory. Victoria Matos and Chloe Lomans also contributed to the success with an 8-4 win. However, Isabel Petri-Bere and Caroline Hinshaw came up just short in a tightly contested match, losing 7-8, while Cameron Didion and Isabella Asenov faced a challenging matchup, falling 2-8.

Later in the day, the Huskies faced both St. Joe's and Temple in doubles. UConn continued their dominance, with Wright and Constantinou securing a commanding 8-0 win, and Petri-Bere and Hinshaw winning decisively at 8-4. Matos and Lomans followed suit with an 8-2 victory, while Didion and Asenov won in a closely contested match, finishing 8-7.
