Huskies Hit the Road For Non-Conference Matchup Against Eastern Kentucky
STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's tennis team is back in action Thursday, March 6 and Friday March 7 as they hit the road for a conference matchup against Xavier and a non-conference matchup against Eastern Kentucky. .
The Huskies are coming off a strong conference win over Creighton University. The Huskies were firing on all cylinders Saturday afternoon, winning doubles and winning five of their six singles matchups. The Huskies have received contributions from everyone in their lineup making them a well-balanced team. UConn enters the matchup 7-2 overall and 3-0 in conference action.
Xavier enters the matchup posting a 5-4 overall record and will be welcoming UConn for their first conference matchup of the Spring Season. Xavier is most recently coming off a 5-2 victory of Ball State. Eastern Kentucky enters the matchup 6-9 overall and is coming off a 4-3 victory over Belmont. In the month of February, Eastern Kentucky was on a six match losing streak but have since turned it around with two wins over Georgetown College and Belmont.
