Huskies Prepare for Big East
Indianapolis, IN – The University of Connecticut Swimming and Diving Team will begin competition in the Big East Championship Wednesday at IUPUI Natatorium. The event brings seven teams from around the conference with a winner decided upon completion of Saturday's finals.
The Huskies enter the week 7-3 on the year, ending their home Spring meets with a strong performance against Providence February 10th.
UConn won runner-up to Villanova last year, a team that claimed its tenth straight title. The Huskies hosted the Wildcats earlier this year, narrowly falling 146-154. The Georgetown Hoyas, who also kept it close in the championship, were defeated in Storrs 175-125 in October. UConn should look to this recent history with confidence as they prepare for a competitive four days in Indianapolis.
