Huskies Welcome UVM to Storrs
STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's swimming and diving team is back in action Saturday December 7 to take on the University of Vermont Catamounts in Storrs. The meet is set to begin at 10am.
The Huskies are looking to keep their momentum going as they return to the pool following a 1 place finish at the Bucknell Invitational. The Huskies dominated the pool with multiple podium finishes as well as dominating the diving where Julia Pioso took home first place in the 1-meter competition.
UConn currently sits at 4-2 overall and is looking to close the first half of the season strong with their third win in a row. Vermont enters the meet at 4-3 overall and is coming off a win at the University of Rhode Island Invitational. The Huskies have had success at home this year, currently sitting at 2-0. The last time UConn was home, the Huskies had one of their best meets of the season, breaking three pool records, and one UConn record.
Following the meet, the Huskies will head home for winter break. The Huskies will be back in action January 17 in Storrs as they take on the University of New Hampshire Wildcats.
