STORRS, Conn. – UConn standout sophomore outfielder Kaitlyn Breslin has been recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and D1 Softball as the national Player of the Week. She was also named to the Softball America Stars of the Week. Breslin becomes the first player in program history to receive these prestigious awards.

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn softball team will jump out of conference play this week as the Huskies head to Boston College as part of a home and home series with the Eagles this season. First pitch is set for 6:00pm on Tuesday, April 1 and will be televised live on ACC Network.

OMAHA, Neb. – The UConn softball team defeated the Creighton Bluejays, 8-0 in a five inning run rule on Saturday afternoon at the CU Sports Complex. UConn moves to 7-2 in BIG EAST play and 18-12 overall this season.

UConn's 22 runs were a season high and the second most runs the Huskies have scored in a game in program history. The 40 combined runs were the most in any UConn game in program history and is the highest scoring game in the country this season.

Game two was suspended in the top of the sixth inning with UConn leading, 21-18. The game will be resumed on Saturday, March 29 at 2:00pm EST in the top of the sixth inning.

The series is set to begin on Friday, March 28 with a doubleheader beginning at 3:00pm EST, with the second game to follow after the conclusion game one, slated for 5:30pm EST. Both games will be streamed on FloSports. The series finale is scheduled for Saturday, March 29 at 5:00pm and will be televised live on FS1.
