WSOC Wraps Up Non-Conference Slate At Morrone

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's soccer team (4-1-1) closes out the non-conference slate of its schedule with a pair of matches at Morrone Stadium this weekend.

The Huskies will face Yale on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7 PM and then host Texas A&M on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 1 PM. Both games will be streamed on UConn+ for free.

UConn is riding a season-long four-game win streak and is off to its best six-game start to a fall season since a 5-1 start in 2016.

Junior Chioma Okafor leads the Huskies with four goals including a pair she scored against Rhode Island on Sunday. Her performance earned her BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week honors.

The Huskies and the Bulldogs faced off last year with the Bulldogs winning 1-0 in New Haven. The all-time series favors UConn (24-4-2).

UConn and Texas A&M meet for the first time in program history on Sunday. The last time the Huskies faced off against an SEC opponent was when UConn hosted South Carolina at Morrone in 2022.
