Women's Soccer Lays Out 2023 Schedule
STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's soccer team has announced its 2023 schedule featuring 17 regular season games including 10 games at Morrone Stadium at the Rizza Performance Center.
The Huskies finished the 2022 season with an 8-6-4 record and competed in the BIG EAST Championship.
UConn has two exhibition games scheduled with a home match vs. Fairfield on Wednesday, August 9 and then hit the road for a game against Quinnipiac on Sunday, August 13 in preparation for the regular season.
The regular season opens at home in Storrs on Sunday, August 20 against Boston University and is the first of seven non-conference matchups for the Huskies. UConn will play non-conference home games against Army (Aug. 31), America East Champion New Hampshire (Sept. 3), Marist (Sept. 6) and MAC Champion Buffalo (Sept. 16).
Two non-conference road contests come against NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago with Harvard (Aug. 27) and Yale (Sept. 10) both representing the Ivy League.
The 10-match BIG EAST schedule kicks off with a home weekend against Creighton (Sept. 21) and St. John's (Sept. 24). The Huskies are also slated to play Marquette (Oct. 1), Xavier (Oct. 8) and Villanova (Oct. 19) at Morrone Stadium.
The Huskies will travel to Georgetown (Sept. 28), DePaul (Oct. 12), Butler (Oct. 15), Providence (Oct. 22) and Seton Hall (Oct. 26) in 2023.
The 2023 BIG EAST Championship will begin with first round games on October 29 and the semifinals and championship games will be on Nov. 2 and 5, respectively. The matches will be at campus sites.
