WSOC Carries Momentum Into Trip to BU
BOSTON - The UConn women's soccer team (1-1-1) plays its final non-conference road game of the season with a trip to Boston University on Sunday, Sept. 1 at 4 p.m.
The Huskies are coming off their first win of the season, a road victory at New Hampshire, 1-0, last Sunday.
It was the first shutout of the year for UConn with the Huskies limiting the Wildcats to just two shots on the afternoon.
Anna Carson, Chioma Okafor, Naia Ocio and Abbey Jones have each tallied a goal this season.
The Terriers are 0-2-2 on the year with a 2-2 draw against Vermont in their last match. Giulianna Gianino leads the team with three goals this year.
UConn is 8-5 all-time against Boston University with the last meeting coming last year in Storrs. The Huskies won 2-0 with Chioma Okafor and Abbey Jones netting the two goals.
