WSOC Faces Marquette in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, WISC. - The UConn women's soccer team (7-3-3, 1-2-2 BIG EAST) is back on the field to face Marquette (4-7-3, 1-2-1 BIG EAST) at Valley Fields on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. CT. The game can be streamed on FloSports.

The Huskies are coming off a 2-1 loss at Creighton last week in Omaha. Chioma Okafor scored her 11th goal of the season and her fifth-straight game with a goal. 

Okafor is tied for fifth in the nation with her 11 goals. She is the first UConn player to score in five-straight matches since Stephanie Ribiero in 2016. 

The UConn striker is also tied for 11th in the country with 24 points. 

The Huskies are 3-5-2 all-time against the Golden Eagles with the last meeting in Storrs last year resulting in a 0-0 draw. The last visit to Milwaukee for UConn came in 2022 and resulted in a 2-1 victory with Lucy Cappadona scoring one of the Huskies two tallies.
