Varsity 4 Impresses at Holy Cross Invitational
Worcester, Mass. - The University of Connecticut women's rowing team saw success from its Varsity 4 group Saturday, winning it's event by six seconds over MIT, Boston College, and Holy Cross. The 2nd Varsity 8 and 3rd Varsity 8 both raced in the same six-boat race, finishing 5th and 6th behind MIT, Boston College A, Holy Cross, and Boston College B. The Varsity 8 finished 4th behind MIT, BC, and Holy Cross in their event.
Of the day's results, Coach Jen Sanford said, "It was great to see the Varsity 4 continue to perform well, winning their event. The other eights didn't have their best performance, and I'm looking forward to trying some new things out this week. Shaking the lineups will be a good way to refocus and prepare for the Eastern Sprints."
Up Next - The Huskies return home to prepare for the Eastern Sprints taking place Sunday, May 4th.
