Huskies Take Home Medals at Head of the Schuylkill
Philadelphia, Penn. - The University of Connecticut Women's Rowing Team took home two medals Saturday, in a windy race day among the Northeast's best teams. Of the team's performance, Coach Jen Sanford said, "It was another great weekend of racing for the Huskies in Philadelphia. I thought our boats handled the windy conditions well, given we haven't had an opportunity to practice much in rougher water this Fall. We are getting faster every week and each racing experience has been a confidence-building opportunity. It's always nice to have boats walk away from this race with medals as it is a very competitive field."
Up Next - The Huskies stay in-state next weekend to compete in the Heart of the Housatonic in Shelton, Conn.
