Huskies Earn Third Straight At-Large Bid to NCAA Tournament

STORRS, Conn. – For the third straight year, the UConn women's lacrosse team has earned an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament and will matchup against Ivy League Champion, Penn, in the first round.

This marks UConn's fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history. The Huskies squared off against Loyola in 2013, faced Virginia in 2021, and met with JMU in a post-season rematch game last year.

UConn will head to Newton, MA where third-seeded, Boston College, will host the first and second rounds of the tournament, starting on Friday, May 12. UConn will matchup with Penn, the Ivy League tournament champion, at 1:00pm on Friday, for a chance to take on Boston College on Sunday, May 14th. As a top-three team, Boston College will get a first round bye in the NCAA tournament.

This will be the first match between the Huskies and the Quakers in program history.
