12 Huskies Earn IWLCA Academic Honors
STORRS, Conn.- The UConn women's lacrosse team was recognized as a 2024 IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, with twelve Huskies named to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.
Overall, the IWLCA honored 1,163 student-athletes from 113 different institutions on the 2024 Division I Honor Roll. To be eligible, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student, and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. To earn team honors, the IWLCA recognizes a team who has posted a 3.20 GPA or higher for the academic year. For 2023-2024, the IWLCA recognized 324 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA.
This season, twelve Huskies earned the honor of making the honor roll. This group was led by graduate students Madelyn George (Rush, N.Y.), Jenna Giardina (South Salem, N.Y.), JoJo Gum (Dallas, Texas), Kate Shaffer (West Hartford, Conn.), Shea van den Broek (Darien. Conn.), and Landyn White (Alpharetta, Ga.) Rounding out the list for UConn was seniors Morgan Carter (Davidsonville, Md.), Abby Charron (Canton, Conn.), Maggie Lonsinger (Verona, NJ), Raye Neil (Exeter, N.H.), Megan Whitley (Adams Center, N.Y.), and junior Riley Daly (Ipswich, Mass.)
