Huskies to Host Butler for Senior Day
STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's lacrosse team (8-6, 3-1) is set for their final home game of the 2024 season as they host the Butler Bulldogs on Saturday, April 20th for Senior Day.
The Huskies are coming off a Wednesday evening loss to the UMass Minutewomen on the road in Amherst, Mass. Redshirt junior, Rayea Davis, scored five goals and had one assist in the loss. Defender, Amanda Moghadasi, caused three turnovers, had four ground balls, and one assist.
The Butler Bulldogs (2-12, 1-4) are coming off a loss versus Lindenwood last Saturday. Freshman midfielder, Kate Kaptrosky, led the offense with four goals in the loss. UConn is 6-0 all-time against the Bulldogs.
The Huskies will honor their seven seniors in a pregame ceremony on the field – Megan Whitley, Maggie Lonsinger, Susan Lafountain, Morgan Carter, Lauren Barry, Abby Charron, and Raye Neil. UConn will also acknowledge the four grad students who will be playing their final game in Morrone Stadium as well – Kate Shaffer, Rylee Brown, Madelyn George, and Landyn White.
Opening draw is set for 12:00 pm for the 'Taylor Swift Eras' themed game. The contest will be streamed on FloSports.
